Many of us would have either told or heard people saying " For what fault of mine have I been punished with such an abusive life?". People who face domestic violence, abuses and rape or acid attack survivors often blame their karma and raise this question to the almighty asking him what was their fault.
Today my shout out is to all those mentally and physically affected people, "you have done no wrong". Its not necessary that everything bad happening to you is because of your karma. At times we just become a medium for such people to fulfil and feed their evil intentions. Definitely even the person doing bad to others is not born bad but becomes evil due to his negative traits. It's his surroundings and the situations which makes him do so and sometimes his nature as well. So you don't have to ask the almighty of what wrong have you done to face such a abuse and hate because its not yours but the other person's karma.
Don't hate that person but forgive him and leave the rest on the almighty. If you don't forgive that person and burn with vengeance and decide to revenge then that's wrong. Instead of thinking about revenge try to bring the change in the lives of those suffering just like you. Revenge is selfish attitude but working for those who are suffering the same way like you and providing them the strength and justice is selflessness. And as I have told in all my previous posts as well, Be selfless in all ways but never be selfish. Be the medicine for the wound of others and forget about the results of your karma. Leave it to the almighty and spread only love even to those who hate you or don't like you.
Like always I will finish this article with Lord Krishna's sayings.
After Draupadi's cheer haran, she was shattered. The only question running in her mind was that "why me?". Why did all this happen to me? What was my mistake? . Unable to accept whatever happened in the court of Hastinapur she locked herself in her room at Indraprasth. Despite of several attempts made by the pandavas, she didn't open the door. That's when Lord Krishna arrived to Indraprasth. He hurried to meet Draupadi and as soon as he entered her room, she came running and fell on his feet. Her tears were unstoppable. She re-posted her question to Lord Krishna demanding an answer.
Lord Krishna firstly consoled the shattered Panchali and then asked her to forgive Duryodhan and all others behind this mishap. Draupadi stunned with Lord Krishna's words refused to do so and asked the reason behind those words. Lord Krishna here says that the first step for their destruction is that you have to forgive them. Draupadi confused and clueless asked the lord "How is their destruction related to me forgiving them?" . For which Lord Krishna states, You have to forgive them because if you don't do so then this anger of yours will take the shape of revenge. Instead of thinking about your pain, you have to fight for all those women like you who have faced such mishaps. Whatever happened to you was not your fault or karma, its their karma. You were just a medium set by the Lord for them to cross all bars of evilness and invite their end. So stop blaming yourself and your karma and forgive them, Fight for all those women suffering day in day out due to such mishaps.
Draupadi realises her mistake and instantly agrees upon Lord Krishna's words. She forgives the kauravas and Duryodhan and decides to fight for all the affected women as a whole.
So friends, always keep it in mind that whatever abusive or bad happening to you need not be because of your karma. Be kind and true to your conscience . Listen to your inner voice and never do anything wrong or say anything wrong about anyone.
